Self- Portraits - The concept
of self-portraits has always fascinated artist
throughout time.
Using samples from various cultures and famous
artist, participants are encouraged to develop
their own personal form of expression. Through
the use of drawing, color and composition emotions
such as dreams, hopes and fears are expressed
while at the same time instilling a sense of
self-esteem an identity.
Banners – Through the
use of experimental silk-screen techniques participants
are encouraged to work in groups to create large
scale banners to express present day concerns.
Using Nature as vehicle to inspire physically
disable and mentally handicapped participants
to create art works while at the same time
instilling in them a sense of well-being.
Identity - Masks have been
throughout time as a means of transcending existence
and realizing their desires. Participants are
encouraged to work in the context of rituals
and create masks that have special meaning to
them.
